5 Most Common results of Anxiety in society

5 Most Common results of Anxiety in society   1. Brain This is the most common problem after a concussion. Several types of headaches can occur after a concussion. This often resembles the type of dizziness that occurs in the non-concussed population.  However, people who continue to have concussions sometimes have other complications related to the treatment of headaches - eg. binocular vision disorder, visual-vestibular incompatibility, autonomic dysfunction, etc.  - this requires a multidisciplinary approach, such as that offered at York Regional Medical Clinic and York Regional Physiotherapy Centers. 2. Neck pain Whiplash is an injury to the neck that often accompanies a concussion. There is no hard and fast rule as to what force will cause a concussion, but most biomechanical studies seem to show that concussions occur with an overhead force of 80 - 95g.  Likewise, a classic "rear-end" car accident requires only 12g of force (corresponding to 32 km/h) to cause...

Long term effects of stress on Your digestive system

Long-term effects of stress on Your digestive system   Most of us have first-hand experience with how chronic or intense psychological stress can affect the digestive system. Ancient practitioners of Chinese medicine claim that the gut (especially the Liver) is the seat of emotions.  Modern science explains this phenomenon, revealing that 90% of our neurotransmitters and hormones are produced in the gut. What happens to digestion when you are stressed?  What a huge piece of us don't have even the remotest clue, somewhat brilliantly, is that the stomach-related structure is obliged by the Central Tactile framework, a sub-part of the tangible framework called the "parasympathetic  nervous system." Essentially, the parasympathetic system is a "rest and digest" state. Only when we are relaxed and stress-free is the parasympathetic system, and therefore digestion activated. When we enter a stressful situation, the parasympathetic system is antagonistic; activates t...

The Link Between Anxiety And Inflammation

The Link Between Anxiety And Inflammation   I have shared many times in the past that inflammation is at the root of most, if not all, chronic diseases. We know that eating packaged, processed fake foods increases inflammation as does consume vegetable and seed oils, trans fats, gluten, sugar, high fructose corn syrup, and processed meats. But here's something else that drives destructive inflammation that might surprise you. Anxiety. According to Dr. David Hanscom: "Anxiety is a physiological response to a threat. Your whole body is on fire. You have to reduce anxiety, reduce cytokines, and reduce the stress response. If your body is inflamed, you will feel anxiety." Every cell in the body has cytokines.   Cytokines are cell signaling molecules that aid cell-to-cell communication in immune responses and stimulate cell movement toward sites of inflammation, infection, and trauma. By reducing or eliminating stress and anxiety, you will reduce the levels of inflammatory cyt...
